Hospitals are included in the very dangerous workplace class and contain physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic and psychosocial risk factors in terms of working environments. The fact that personnel working in hospitals face different risks is a vital issue that must be taken into consideration in terms of occupational health and safety. It is important for occupational health and safety practices to determine the precautions to be taken for the risks to which employees will be exposed in all organizations providing healthcare services. One of the important dangers that threaten the health of employees, especially in hospitals, is the chemicals used. Chemical substances used in hospital laboratories and other units of hospitals should be carefully examined. Within the scope of the current project, the hazards posed by the chemical substances used in Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Medicine Hospital will be determined and the risks arising from these hazards will be analyzed with the Fine-Kinney method. With the risk analysis to be carried out, measures will be taken in light of the existing risks regarding the use of chemical substances. In order to protect the health of all employees at the Medical Faculty Hospital, which makes significant contributions to Yozgat in the field of health, suggestions will be presented to identify and eliminate risks arising from the use of chemical substances. The proactive approach of occupational health and safety will be based on potential hazards arising from chemical substances in working conditions and the measures to be proposed for these hazards.
