Özet

(Summary) Although the pandemic's effects emerged in the health field, when the methods of countries coping with the global crisis were examined, it was seen that this could not be limited to the health field. In other words, the pandemic has become a management problem, not a health problem. The solution to the management problem was possible with changes in public policies in practice. Therefore, states have made some effective arrangements against this global crisis within the scope of the public policies they have implemented. The most important regulations in public policies have been visible in health and economic policies. In this regard, the study aims to comparatively examine the public policies in the field of health and economy implemented by the states in the Fragile Five country category during the COVID-19 pandemic process. This study was carried out by investigating the period from the definition of the COVID-19 epidemic as a pandemic by the World Health Organization to April 2021, especially in the data used in the field of health. Since the pandemic process is continuing around the world, future research in the field of economy and health may have more data.
