Abstract

A chiral Schiff base ligand (H2L) was obtained by condensing 2-hydroxynaphthalene-1-carbaldehyde with substituted (1R,2R)-(-)-diaminocyclohexane. Chiral Schiff base complexes [CuL], [NiL], [ZnL] and [MnLOH] have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, Lambda(M), i.r., u.v.-vis. and H-1-n.m.r. and magnetic measurements.
