Biography

Simge Aksu was born in 1988 in Gölcük, Kocaeli. She completed her undergraduate education at Anadolu University, Department of Press and Broadcasting in 2011. She completed her master's degree at Anadolu University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Public Relations and Advertising.

Between 2011-2013 under the consultancy Prof. Dr. Nevzat Bilge İspir, she carried out a study for the developing luxury sector in Turkey to improve their corporate identity, image and reputation in social media with the thesis "Social Media Use of Luxury Brands". Continuing her doctorate education at Anadolu University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Public Relations and Advertising, Dr. Simge Aksu, in her doctoral thesis  which was supervised by Nevzat Bilge İspir, she developed a model proposal to explain green consumer behavior by using Ajzen's Planned Behavior Theory Model. The study, which was published as an article in the Journal of Consumer Behavior, receives worldwide citations from SSCI, SCI, ESCI journals.
