Abstract

Objective: Cholelithiasis and umbilical hernia, which have common risk factors, may cause some technical problems to the surgeon when encountered in the same patient. However, there are only a few studies investigating the incidence of umbilical hernia in patients with cholelithiasis. Our purpose is to define the incidence of umbilical hernia in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy in our clinic, and to discuss the potential problems that can be caused by the coexistence of cholelithiasis and umbilical hernia in the same patient.
