In parallel with the rapid economic, political, and technological developments and changes in the world, the dimensions of tourism are gradually increasing and have an important position in the economies of countries. All kinds of expenditures made in the tourism sector stimulate and revitalise the economy. However, in recent years, with the impact of coastal tourism, the carrying capacity of coastal regions has been exhausted and great coastal destruction has been experienced. Significant changes are observed in touristic consumption patterns for recreation, entertainment, and sightseeing. Participation in luxury tourism movements is gradually decreasing, and there is a tendency to move away from the usual tourism centers, which have reached a kind of saturation limit. Therefore, changes in the tourist profile and consumption patterns have led to the emergence of new concepts such as eco-tourism and sustainable tourism, which envisage the use of the natural and cultural environment in a balance of conservation and utilisation. This study, it was tried to determine the extent to which ecological tourism values were adhered to in practice in Akdagmadeni, Turkiye, and it was emphasised that ecotourism types may cause negative environmental pressures in the long term, although not as much as mass tourism.
