Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the Sarcophagidae (Diptera) fauna of Erzurum in 2006-2007 and totally 17 species have been evaluated. The specimens were collected from Erzurum (Center), Askale, Cat, Ilica, Koprukoy and Pasinler districts. At the result of the study, Blaesoxsipha (Servaisia) erythrura (Meigen, 1826), Sarcophaga (Helicophagella) pachyura (Rohdendorf, 1937) and Sarcophila meridionalis (Verves, 1982) were new records for Turkish fauna. Sarcophaga (Liopygia) argyrostoma (Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830), Sarcophaga (Liopygia) crassipalpis (Macquart, 1839) and Ravinia pernix (Harris, 1780) were abundant and widespread species.
