Özet

The purpose of this research is to provide an in-depth analysis of the significant impact that social media platforms have on the process of English language acquisition as well as the opportunities and the obstacles that are influenced by this phenomenon. Another purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of how the media affects the educational dynamics and language development that occur in everyday life. Due to the fact that the English language is becoming increasingly dominant as the lingua franca of the globe, educators and policymakers must comprehend the function that social media plays as an array for language acquisition. The data collection procedure was consequently carried out among the voluntary university students, with participants coming from a variety of cultural backgrounds and linguistic levels. Methods for utilizing social media and maintaining users' engagement with content written in English were investigated and offered as an efficient instrument for the most recent approach towards enhancing language abilities. It was further confirmed by the findings of the respondents, that a significant number of them regarded social media to be beneficial in enhancing their English language skills. Despite the fact that social media is an efficient supplementary tool for language learning, the study advises that it should be utilized within the official educational frameworks with a certain degree of caution to make the most of the benefits it offers.
