Özet

This research was conducted to determine hay yield and some quality properties of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) cultivars between 2013-2015 two consecutive years. Bilensoy, Kayseri, Verko, Gea, Plato, Victoria, Emiliano, Sunter, Nimet and Basbag cultivars were used as plant material. Research was conducted as a randomized complete block design with 3 replicates. In this study, Relative Feed Value and mineral content (Ca, Mg, P and K) of alfalfa cultivars were determined. Calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and Sulphur ratio of cultivars varied from 1.54 to 1.64 %, 0.27 to 0.30 %, 0.37 to 0.40 % and 2.28 to 2.64 % in establishment year and varied from 1.52 to 1.61 %, 0.28 to 0.31 %, 0.39 to 0.42 % and 2.75 to 3.02 % in second year, respectively. As a result of this study conducted for two years, it was determined that all of the 10 alfalfa cultivar to be studied was high in relative feed values and in a sufficient level in terms of mineral matter. However, Verko, Nimet, Kayseri and Basbag cultivars can to be preferred in region due to the fact that they have a value over the average in terms of especially relative feed value.
