This study examines Syrian immigrants’ experiences of prejudice and discrimination, their causes, and solutions based on their own experiences. The findings obtained from in-depth interviews with the 20 participants selected using the snowball sampling method are as follows. There are experiences of prejudice and discrimination in business life, such as late employment, wage inequality, and marginalizing labels. Experiences of exclusion, such as marginalizing discourses and being treated differently, are evident in social life. The reasons for these phenomena are economic, social, and media factors. Social policies and education regulations are needed to prevent prejudice and discrimination. Among these suggestions, steps such as facilitating services for Syrians and improving Turkish language skills stand. This research makes an important contribution to the field in terms of addressing the causes and solutions of prejudice and discrimination against migrants based on their own experiences. Therefore, we argue that it is important to include the voices of migrants in future research on the causes and prevention of prejudice and discrimination.
