Abstract

Silene hamzaoglui Budak sp. nova is described as a new species from Cekerek (Yozgat, Turkey). The specimen was collected from calcareous rocky places, at an altitude between 1140 and 1180 m. The new species is similar to Silene duralii Y.Bagci and Silene capillipes Boiss. & Heldr. The differences among these 3 species are discussed.
