All teachers are aware of the importance of communication skills, especially in the present globalized world. This has given due recognition to teaching English as a second or foreign language. Recent foreign language teaching has started to focus on effective communication in English. However, there are only a few learners who can perform well in the four skills of a second language. Speaking seems to be the most challenging skill for learners of English. The issue of teaching language skills is a complex task. Many methods are being tested for language learning with the rapid growth of technology. As we know, learning a second language plays an important role in improving our knowledge of the outside world. The basic goal of learning a language is to speak and understand it. The learning of any language skill becomes difficult if we try to learn it in isolated circumstances. In today’s world, technology has become a part of our daily lives. With technological advancement, the traditional learning scenario has started to change. It left its place in an education system that provides a more accurate, quick, and effective way of communication. The use of appropriate strategies of technology in second language learning and teaching could help students acquire effective communication skills, including good speaking skills. The use of information and communication technology is assumed to make language learning both more effective and efficient by reducing some of the challenges and constraints associated with traditional education. The objective of incorporating ICT in English Language Teaching is to teach and reinforce language learning skills (i.e., speaking, listening, writing, and reading) to impart grammatical knowledge of the target language and to help students acquire fluency in English. The teacher must know of and use several media, technologies, and methods of teaching listening and speaking skills through their knowledge of computers, which is known as computer-assisted language teaching.
