Abstract

Every year, millions of tons of salt are used in the fight against snow and ice in the world. The damage caused by the salts used in the fight against icing to the environment adversely affects human and living life. In recent years, the use of modern methods has become widespread due to many negativities, including environmental pollution caused by salting, which is one of the traditional methods still used in the fight against snow and ice. In this paper, the damage caused by salting, which is the traditional method used in combating icing, to the environment will be examined, and information will be given about the methods of fighting snow and ice using geothermal resources.

Dünyada her yıl milyonlarca ton tuz, kar ve buz mücadelesinde kullanılmaktadır. Buzlanma ile mücadelede kullanılan tuzların çevreye verdiği zararlar insan ve canlı yaşamını olumsuz bir şekilde etkilemektedir. Son yıllarda kar ve buz ile mücadelede halen kullanılmakta olan geleneksel yöntemlerden olan tuzlamanın meydana getirdiği çevre kirliliği dâhil pek çok olumsuzluklar nedeniyle modern yöntemlerin kullanımı yaygınlaşmaktadır. Bu bildiri çalışmasında buzlanma ile mücadelede kullanılan geleneksel yöntem olan tuzlamanın çevreye verdiği zararlar incelenerek, jeotermal kaynaklar kullanılarak kar ve buz ile mücadele yöntemleri hakkında bilgiler verilecektir.
