Abstract

Phoma candelariellae is described from the apothecia of Candelariella aurella in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. The new species is distinguished among the lichenicolous Phoma species by its clustered conidiomata arising in groups and its subglobose conidia. It is also the first Phoma species reported on Candelariella.
