Tribological examinations of PEEK- and bronze-based materials. The goal of this study is to investigate the friction and wear behavior of Peek-and bronze-based material combinations under dry and lubricated conditions in order to identify the materials with low friction and wear with the lowest ratios, and also to select appropriate combinations of materials. Two different plastics (arlon1330 and 1555) from peek-based and deva-metal from bronze-based were used as the basic material and their friction and wear behavior were experimentally investigated. Hard metal WC/Co was used as the opposed body. In all experiments, the application parameters were kept constant, to compare the results. Torque, temperature and decrease in length of sample were measured. With the help of the measured variables, the other tribological reference parameters were obtained.
