There are many financial investment instruments that individual investors use to assess their savings at the present time. The leading ones are stock market, Dollar, Euro, Gold, deposit accounts and Bitcoins virtual currency increasing in popularity in recent years. The future is full of uncertainties and it is an important problem that which investment alternatives should be made investment and in which rate. Uncertainties can be tackled if the selection of the best of alternatives is based on historical data and statistics. This investment problem has been researched in the frame of game theory, portfolio theories and Minimax portfolio theory. In the study, the data of the alternative investment instruments were divided into 4 separate investment periods and the historical data between the years of 2012-2018 were analyzed and their returns were calculated. For each period, zero sum game which is played against nature and for one person was modeled with game theory approach. The optimal portfolios using the linear programming model were created with the help of the Excel solver. The expected returns are calculated using the weights of the assets in the portfolios. According to the Markowitz Average Variance model, the risk of the portfolios is calculated by considering the covariances of the assets. The relative performances of the obtained portfolios were evaluated by using the Sharpe ratio and the coefficient of variation criterions. As a result, it is stated that the model created can provide a useful and efficient approach as an alternative model for investment decision and portfolio selection problems.
