Özet

This study was conducted under greenhouse conditions at the Uşak University Faculty of Agriculture in
2020. The research utilized two faba bean varieties, Laser and Black Laser. The irrigation conditions
applied were 80% and 20% of Field Capacity (TK%80 and TK%20, respectively). Three selenium
doses, Se0 (Control), Se1 (0.05 mg/L), and Se2 (0.1 mg/L), were applied foliarly. The study examined
several morphological and yield parameters such as plant height, number of branches, first pod height,
number of pods, and seeds per pod, as well as physicochemical parameters including chlorophyll
content, total phenolic and flavonoid contents, antioxidant activity, L-Dopa, and Vicine. The
experimental design was a Randomized Plots Design, and the results were statistically analyzed using
the SPSS 27 software package. The statistical analysis revealed that Field Capacity had a significant
effect on Plant Height (p<0.01), First Pod Height (p<0.01), Number of Pods (p<0.01), Number of Seeds
per Pod (p<0.01), and Chlorophyll content (p<0.05). Variety differences were effective on the Number
of Pods (p<0.05), Chlorophyll content (p<0.05), and L-Dopa content (p<0.05), while selenium created
a difference in Total Phenolic-Flavonoid (p<0.01) and L-Dopa (p<0.05) contents. The applications did
not have a significant effect on the Number of Branches, Antioxidant content (%), or Vicine content.
