This qualitative study explored the coping mechanisms used by 22 immigrant parents (nine men, 13 women) of Syrian, Iraqi,Afghan and Palestinian origin in Türkiye to cope with challenges related to food, shelter, healthcare and social exclusion whilecaring for their children. Through semi-structured interviews, the research examined the strategies employed by these immi-grants, categorizing them as institutional support or individual efforts. The findings revealed a multifaceted spectrum of copingmechanisms encompassing the emotional, social, cultural and religious dimensions. Participants discussed limited institutionalsupport, the importance of regular income, secure employment and language barriers. This study offers valuable insights into theexperiences of immigrants in Türkiye and highlights the need for culturally sensitive support systems.
